While program funding is received in part by the Illinois Department of Human Services, Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse and other federal funds, government funding continues to decrease. State and federal funding for Sojourn House has decreased 30 percent in the last three years.

Unfortunatley, the need for Sojourn's services have not decreased with the funding cuts. Actually, new patient evaluations have increased by 15 percent in from 2007 to 2010.
